Quartz or natural crystalline silica is a chemically inert, inorganic mineral, extracted from mines and processed in various granulometric ranges, with a hexagonal crystalline form, white to slightly grayish, odorless, insoluble in water, with low oil absorption, and abrasive.
Main applications: Construction, cosmetics, electronics, pharmaceuticals, filtration, foundry, fiber optics, and watchmaking. Used to count the seconds on wristwatches. Granulometry/Mesh: 8, 10, 14, 20, 30, 50, 100, 200, 325, 400 and micronized.
