Precipitated Calcium Carbonate

Calcium carbonate is a chemical substance with the formula CaCO3; being the calcium salt of carbonic acid, found in the form of calcite. Industrially, it is one of the main sources of calcium. Precipitated calcium carbonate is obtained through calcination and precipitation of natural calcium carbonate (calcite, limestone, etc.), resulting in a product with low density, high brightness index, white, thin, odorless, insoluble, light, porous, and high oil absorption.

Main Applications

Main applications: in the construction industry for cement production, in agriculture, for soil acidity correction, because it has an alkaline pH in a solution, and also as an abrasive.
